Sand, Sea, Sun … Slip, Slap, Slop

Pardon me sir ... this is your wake up call.

"Tippie" our hotel cat.  Vicky nick-named her because of her ear.
Breakfast
2 days of hedonism.  Basted and Broiled in the Greek sun.  It makes you want to somehow stamp your brain with the feeling to recall on those winter days of shoveling snow, balancing books, agendas, appointments and the busyness we collect in our lives.  But for now … we dance.

Bruce (blearily raising his head off the beach chair):  “I should really wake up and do nothing … oh wait a minute!”

Is that Zeus or Poseidon out there?
We will be getting onto trip advisor sharing our fantastic experience of the Glicorisa Beach Hotel.  There are some mixed reviews there and we will be refuting them with gusto.  The staff have been great and treat us like family.

Because we are away for 17 days and there are baggage restrictions, we find it necessary to deal with the matter of laundry.  When we had inquired at the front desk, we were given only suggestions for laundromats in Pythagorio that offered a laundry service as well.  We asked as we walked the promenade and met up with Stella.  Now Stella actually works in one of the restaurants but in answer to our question, quickly used her cell phone and talked ‘to a guy’.  She hung up and said “you bring it here Thursday morning and it will be ready in the afternoon”.  Huh, well I suppose it’s an option, but we are readily open to alternatives.  Leaving our duds with a gal named Stella working the front of a restaurant just doesn’t rest comfortably.  But logic suggests that tourists’ dirty laundry couldn’t possibly fetch a high price, so that may be our only option.

Tuesday evening we dressed up a little and headed back to Pythagorio to find a restaurant that we had enjoyed on the last trip.  Bruce had better recall than Vicky and quickly found the spot.  We were glad to have seated early because the place filled quickly.  It was completely packed by the time we left.  We strolled the main street and enjoyed the shops that held everything from kitch to high-end jewelry and artworks with travel and car rental outlets between.  It’s so nice to be able to add the familiarity and memories of past trips to the discovery of this one.  The pleasure is truly cumulative.
Irodion Restaurant.  Fantastic!

Special old goat .... err I mean Goat Special
You are what you eat.
(sorry for the rotation issue)
We tried to find alternatives to Stella for laundry but came up with only one place in the near deserted marina close by and that was closed.  O.K.  Stella it is then.  This could be a new kind of adventure as we might end up being short shorts if this doesn’t go as hoped.

Wednesday was spent entirely at the hotel as there was no need or inclination to go elsewhere.  Lazy … lazy … fantastic.
